The popularity of house alarm systems is an answer for the growing need of increased security for our homes. Safety is the responsibility of the homeowner and no matter where you live, burglary is always a possible threat to you and your loved one’s home.

We all aspire for the finer things in life like beautiful cars, a nice home and a happy family life. But the intangible things play a more important role for a meaningful life, such as safety and security. Safety is the most important thing we could practice to protect our loved ones from imminent harm. It is a known fact that law enforcement could only do so much to preach the merits of security and that despite increased efforts, a burglary incidence takes place every 12 seconds. We’re pretty sure that law enforcers are doing the best they can to eliminate the bad elements of society; but for the simple task of ensuring the safety of our own home, house alarm systems fit the job description well.

Studies have shown that house alarm systems will reduce the incidence of theft dramatically as these systems act as excellent theft deterrents. A house without a security system is about 5 times more vulnerable to burglary than a similar house that is protected by a security system. This alone should serve as a guiding light for the average consumer.

Alarm systems installed in cars have a bright LED light to show the status of the security system. This LED light acts as a theft deterrent. When thieves see this bright light, they will think twice about any malicious intent as the car is clearly protected. The same holds true for house alarm systems. A home that is protected and is made known by this fact will give burglars second thoughts about any intent of breaking into the house. The level of security is unknown to most potential thieves, but the knowledge that a security system is installed in your house will make them think twice about any evil actions.

Prevention is always the best cure to any ailment and potential problem. Prevent crime in your neighborhood with the installation of a security system for your home. When it comes to safety and protection, it is always best not to take chances. Crime prevention begins at home.

Protecting Your Car Audio System

If you have recently invested in a car audio system, it’s vital that you protect your car and your car audio system from thieves. It’s integral that you take out insurance to cover your car and audio systems, as well as use extra security measures.

Thieves are regularly attracted to cars when they see a new car audio system and an unprotected car. Several awful things can happen if your car is not protected, as a thief may steal the stereo and leave a broken window at least, or could even steal the whole car as well. Moreover, joy riding is another problem car owners have to put up with. Having the right security options as well as taking preventative action will help you to protect your car as much as possible.

There are a variety of security options on the market, which can be used in conjunction with one another, these include:

(1) Car Alarms;

(2) Window Tinting;

(3) And Steering Wheel Locks.

Each has their advantages and will protect your car to a certain extent. A car alarm will obviously tell you when anyone is attempting to fiddle with your car, enabling you to call the police straight away. Most thieves will be scared away by an alarm, making it a good way to prevent a large amount of damage, as well as theft. Window tinting is a preventative measure, often used to prevent thieves from looking in the car. If they don’t believe there is anything to steal, they may walk away, rather than taking the risk of coming out with nothing. These two preventative security options are often used in conjunction with one another to stop car and car audio theft. Besides these two, steering wheel locks are regularly used. Steering wheels locks may protect your car from theft or joy riding; however, it will sadly not protect your car audio system.

Generally all three will keep your car secure and safe from thief’s hands. However, it still important to be precautious and take some extra measures:

(1) Always take out of your car any valuables. If you can take your stereo out -that’s great! But if not, I suggest some window tinting to try to prevent theft.

(2) Always make sure your car is securely locked. Double check the doors and windows if you need to.

(3) Always make sure you have your keys in a safe place, away from thief’s hands.

(4) When out of your area, try to park in a busy and well lit area. A thief is less likely to scour these areas due to the high risk of getting caught.
